lyrics

i'm naked
there's no blanket of love
around me
and this is my faith
and i see you
on your throne
and i believe in you
but your voice grows further away

how could i ever live
without the beat of your cane
and i'm scarred
and your presence is in me
and i see you
on your throne
and i believe in you
but your voice grows further away

and i just take this pressure
to be happy and this pleasure is mine
can you tell me please
who's the owner of my sadness
and i see you
on your throne
and i believe in you
but your voice grows further away

these city lights
pay their homage again
to the births and to the deaths and
to the carols that ring
as we praise you
on our knees
and we raise you
and your ghost disappears

and i'll hang you
in your wooden frame
and i'll bathe in you
and your blood is in vain
and you're my god
and you're my christ
and you're darkness
and you guide me

and i see you
on your throne
and i believe in you
but your voice grows further away
